Keypad & Display failed just out of warranty

I've always had Kitchenaid appliances and considered them top notch. Just bought a whole suite of Kitchenaid appliances for my kitchen remodel. Spent $9000 with them including this $600 microwave to match the collection. Now just out of warranty the microwave keypad and display are not working. Called help line and they just tell me they won't help (after speaking with two levels of managers in their care resolution department). Now I have a $600 microwave for the landfill. Do not buy this microwave!! I'm seriously disapointed that my loyalty is not worth anything to Kitchenaid. I don't think I will be buying another Kitchenaid appliance again with this kind of disregard for the customer experience. I cannot recommend purchasing any Kitchenaid appliances to my friends and family.

I purchased this product new in January 2018 and the control panel crystals failed before the product was even 2 years old. I cannot read the time or settings. Kitchenaid is unwilling to help because the one year limited warranty expired. Replacement parts are not available, so I have to spend another $500 to replace it. Not what I expected from KitchenAid. Do not buy this product.

Bought this microwave with all all other KA black stainless appliances for our new home. We love the black stainless color but in less than 1.5 yrs of limited use (my wife and I) the touchpad stopped working. Doesnt seem right to invest premium money for KA and have it break. All other KA appliances have been great.
Depth in specs is incorrect, should be 18"

Can't accurately rate the model because KA is in the process of exchanging with no hassle due to nonfunctioning power button. Do want to alert KA and buyers that the actual depth is 18" due to bulge at the back which my prior model did not have. Also, the plug is a straight in plug vs a side plug which can make a difference in your measurements. Formerly owned KCMS1555RSS2, and the door is much stiffer on the new model. I've had a few "door" messages as well when the door was fully closed. This unit seems to require longer time settings and the colon between the hour and minutes flashes continuously, which is unusual. I've only had the unit a short time and use has been limited due to the power button failure so I can't really be sure, whether I just haven't adjusted to the "feel" of the new unit, have a unit with more than one problem or if I just don't like the new model as much as my old one. Primary concern is alerting all to the depth being inaccurate which resulted in having to have an electrician move the outlet in the built in cabinet for a better fit. Prior post on the other 213/4 " model was in error. Hopefully, KA will take it down.

Good quality And functionality. All the built-in ovens were to deep for my cabinet opening. I used this counter top with a trim kit and it fit well.
