Recently purchased this elegant and original microwave to fit a remodeled kitchen. Its clever and unique controls design makes it easy and efficient to use. Likewise we appreciate the unique design of the turntable which assures stability while handling hot items. I bought this microwave a few months ago. My other LG was good but only lasted 2 years which was a disappointment. However I decided to give LG another chance since I really liked the way it looked.

Did Not Honor Warranty

My microwave was 5 years old but had a 10 year magnetron warranty. When my microwave stopped working it was determined by an LG service center that the magnetron had failed and could not be repaired. Rather than providing me with a new unit or credit towards a microwave LG did nothing. If this is the service I get I wonder what the point of the warranty is. I will not buy LG appliances in the future.

Had this a few years and within the 10 year warranty period. Almost set my house on fire arching like crazy and loud sound then smoke alarm went off. Contacted LG who have refused to help me because I lost the receipt.
