This Disposer Splash Guard is made of durable black plastic and is used to keep debris from exiting the disposal during the grinding process. This splash guard seals the disposer to the mounting flange. This universal accessory easily replaces a torn or damaged guard and is compatible with most standard in-sink disposal assemblies; check your model for compatibility. Replacing this accessory will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the garbage disposal and novice repair experience. You must unplug the disposal or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
