We messed up and decided to try and suck up a bunch of drywall dust with our LG cordless vacuum should have used a shopvac. Tried to wash out the filter but it became all clogged up I was worried that we had ruined the entire vacuum. It wasnt getting proper airflow and the motor would rev like crazy while vacuuming. Bought a new one of these and luckily it worked like a charm. The vacuum started working totally normally again. Smart design to have a replaceable part like this. Over a year later we still havent had any new problems. The part is probably a little overpriced but was willing to pay it to save the entire vacuum.
