Poor quality, extended warranty next to useless

We bought a Maytag oven range model #MGR6600FZ 2 years ago. The oven exterior door panel is separating from the door unit. I noticed this right after using the self-clean feature. We purchased the expensive extended warranty and placed a claim with SafeWare when after we were told that they do not cover “cosmetic†issues. SAY WHAT? The door panel separates due to the excessive heat from the self-clean feature because they do not insulate the oven properly. Don’t build in a self-clean feature if the construction can’t handle it. I notice we are not the only customer that has an issue with this from the reviews. Maytag is aware of this defect, but not standing behind their product. It is a DEFECT, NOT A COMETIC ISSUE. We had a Kitchenaid self-clean oven previously and had NO issue like this.

Carbon monoxide monster

I bought product a month ago it has been filling my home carbon monoxide since I purchased. The gas company shut off gas and informed me not to use the stove. I informed Maytag and they don’t consider it and emergency that my brand stove is carbon a monoxide spilling monster. I also learned that it is a known issue.they gave my a date one month away just to look at the stove it should be replaced. Don’t buy this product.

I love our new Maytag gas range. It is sleek, stylish and full of features. I love the fact that you turn the stove on and it tells you exactly when the oven has reached the temperature you programmed it to. The burners are amazing and provide incredible heat to five burners. We are so pleased with our purchase!!! Thank You!
