I have been so frustrated since I bought this dryer. When I call for support I am told the vent is too long. That of course is without someone coming to check it out. I live in a one-story home. How could the vent be too long. When I set the dryer for heavy duty the clothes are still damp. Then I set it for damp dry but I guess a sensor says its done. Its not. Then I set the timer for about 20 minutes. It goes off in about 5 minutes again probably because of a sensor. So Ive been hanging my clothes on drying racks Ridiculous THEN I got a letter offering an extended warranty. Why would I take an extension when Im not getting help/service now?

Bought this from Costco get an extra year warranty luckily as it was making a squealing noice that LG gave me a very hard time in sending out a tech - had to send videos even after hearing the squealing on the phone. Spent several hours over three days before agreeing to send a tech - he was great - took him an hour to figure it out - it was a loose gas connection bracket - metal on metal noise. The LG Customer Service is the reason for the average score. I would have given them a one but the dryer is fine.

Some units are just problematic from the start. We bought both washer and dryer gas dryer to help safe on electric bill. We had an initial issue but the delivery guys seemed to fix that...about 1 year later the unit stopped producing heat all together. The biggest challenge was getting LG repair. Too much headache

Ive had this dryer for about a year now. So far no problems. I do wish that the selection area had a back light on it. The only way I can see anything is to turn my laundry room light on even though I do get some natural light in the room.
