I bought this based on the customer service recommendation. I have ordered it via online but it never worked. doesnt fit the dryer the measurements of dryer is smaller than the lint screen cover. Which means the screen cover is bigger than the dryer slot. I have repeated called the customer service they keep transferring it to a different depart and none picked it. It went on for a while and I had to let go and kept the undeserved product and lying in my home for a while with no use. I can neither sell it nor keep it. A white elephant.

I encountered the same problem as several of the reviews below describe and found a solution. The Problem: I purchased this part as a replacement for a part in my dryer that has the same part id. However this replacement part has a different shape than the original and does not work with the same lint filter. Since I also replaced the lint filter at the same time I was surprised that several part distributors did not have a record of this problem: the part change or its incompatibility with the original. After two failed attempts to contact LGs chat support I called the 800 number and eventually learned that there is a different lint screen that fits with this new lint screen cover. The Solution: Order a new lint screen that fits with this new cover part# ADQ56656403 as my old ADQ56656401 was not compatible.

I read through the other reviews after this happened to me. I decided to take a deeper look into the dryer to see whats going on. Looks like lint builds up at the bottom of the trap that prevents the lint trap from being inserted completely. I cleared it out with a wooden spoon. I was able to insert the lint trap without it pushing up.

As all the other reviewers have said LG has changed the design of this part but reused the part number. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Also I shouldnt have to disable my ad blocker to submit a review. Thats straight-up scummy behavior.
